Аннотация:
The study of evapotranspiration (ET) is significant to physical process controlled by a number of interconnected environmental and eco-hydrological factors in arid and semi-arid region of Mongolia. The main objective of the study is to estimate the spatially distributed actual evapotranspiration using remotely sensed data and to compare the results as determined with meteorological data and ground based point measurements. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI),
Land
surface temperature (LST) are drived from MODIS data, every 10-day averages climatic data, period full 3 years from 2001 to 2003 and ground pan measurement data of evapotranspiration only in growing season (May to September, 2003), pertaining to three meteorological stations located in Mongolian steppe are used in this analysis and model. We developed new simplified satellite based evapotranspiration estimation model in Mongolian steppe area based on physics of Bowen ratio classical method. The identified factors were related to physical processes influencing the evapotranspiration. The results of the study reveal that the variables, air, surface temperature, soil moisture, wind speed are those with the most influence in the evapotranspiration process in arid and semiarid environment of Mongolian steppe area. In this study we used satellite MODIS data in growing season, June-August, 2021 for testing developed new simplified satellite based evapotranspiration estimation model in Mongolian.

Аннотация:
Information about the spatial distribution of urban surface emissivity is essential for surface temperature estimation. The latter is critical in many applications, such as estimation of surface sensible and latent heat fluxes, energy budget, urban canopy modeling, bio-climatic studies and urban planning. This study proposes an estimation of urban surface emissivity, which is primarily based on spectral mixture analysis. The urban surface is assumed to consist of three fundamental
land
cover components, namely vegetation, impervious and soil that refer to the urban environment. Due to the complexity of the urban environment, the impervious component is further divided into two
land
cover components: high-albedo and low-albedo impervious. Emissivity values are assigned to each component based on emissivity distributions derived from the landsat8. Following the proposed method, by combining the fraction of each cover component with a respective emissivity value, an overall emissivity for a given pixel is estimated. The methodology is applicable to visible and near infrared satellite imagery. Therefore it could be used to derive emissivity maps from most multispectral satellite sensors. The proposed approach was applied to landsat8 multispectral data for the city of Darkhan-Uul, Mongolia. Emissivity, as well as
land
surface temperature maps in the spectral region of 10.6 - 11.2 μm (landsat8 band 10) and 11.5-12.5 (landsat8 band 11) were derived.

Аннотация:
Mongolia is a semi-arid region with a fragile ecosystem that is particularly vulnerable to climate change. The Ogii Lake Basin is located in central Mongolia and is part of the International Ramsar Convention for the protection of wetlands. The technogenic systems in the Ogii Lake Basin were classified and studied in terms of
land
cover degradation over the period 2000-2020. The main factors affecting
land
degradation by technogenic systems are correlation coefficients for solid waste r = 0.73, open pit minning r = 0.69, normal unpaved roads r = 0.68, livestock r = 0.59, and wells r = 0.54.
Land
cover degradation was processed by NDVI using MODIS satellite data. Identifying the effects of various man-made systems on
land
cover is important for watershed planning to improve response to
land
degradation and climate change.
