The approach presented in this paper that takes into account the whole matrix of quality aspects of the study programs and the higher education institutions (HEI), delivering the study program, is the international accreditations’ perspective. The purpose of this paper is to present two selected approaches in assessing the excellence in the economics and business studies’ education, that have many similar features. The first approach is the European perspective that is based on standards of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). The second approach assesses excellence from the USA perspective, described by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. Since the changes in environment that represents the business frame of companies, are deep and dynamic, it is necessary thet also the assessment of excellence of economics and business studies follow them by updated orientation to multiple stakeholders and holistic approach to education in the field of economics and business sciences. As we point out in this paper, dimensions of excellence, assessed from the two selected international accreditation perspectives, in economics and business educations, are indeed multiple and include all stakeholders, namely students and graduates, HEI with faculty members as well as environment of the HEI (society, organizations and employers, social responsibility etc.,).
